CARPET COMPANY X VANS SKATEBOARDING COLLECTION - RELEASES JULY 25, 2024

Baltimore's Carpet Company isn't shy about making fun of themselves. Their latest collaboration with Vans Skateboarding features the phrase “Carpet Company Sucks” in Arabic on the side of a brand new Skate Half Cab. Despite their self-deprecating humor, this collection is top-notch.

This first collaboration between the two brands showcases Carpet Company’s unique humor, creativity, and love for skateboarding and streetwear. The collection includes three footwear styles: two versions of the classic Skate Half Cab and a redesigned Skate Cab 4.

High-quality materials are prominent, with faux crocodile skin (dubbed “dragon leather” by Carpet Company) layered over premium leather. This design pays homage to Steve Caballero’s iconic dragon logo, which also features on the Skate Cab 4.

Highlights of the collection include: – Arabic text for that signature Carpet Company touch – Embroidered and printed versions of their “C Star” logo – Unique woven Half Cab labels – Special edition packaging – Two colorways for the Skate Half Cab: Violet/Marshmallow and Black/Marshmallow

The apparel line includes two T-shirts and matching socks, all featuring the dragon logo. The lookbook, photographed by Anthony Acosta, playfully nods to auto racing and stars Carpet Company founders Ayman and Osama Abdeldayem, Vans Global Brand Curator Atiba Jefferson with his brother Ako, and skateboarding legend Steve Caballero.
