JAE TIPS DEBUTS SAUCONY MATRIX COLLAB AT PARIS FASHION WEEK
Bronx-based designer Jae Tips made a splash at Paris Fashion Week with an unexpected new project. Known for his distinctive style, Tips surprised the sneaker world by unveiling a fresh take on the classic Saucony Matrix, following his ProGrid Omni 9 collaboration.
The Matrix, a 90s outdoor runner, is set for a revival with Tips at the helm. His design showcases a vibrant, textured upper with burgundy dominating the toebox and midfoot, adding a luxurious touch. Tan accents on the toecap, laces, sockliner, and heel overlay soften the bold red.
Green adorns the tongue, featuring the Saucony logo on one shoe and Tips’ “Savior” logo on the other, highlighting the collaboration. The white Saucony logo on the midfoot contrasts nicely with the color scheme, while a pink and green midsole and black rubber outsole complete the look.
Jae Tips and Saucony have a history of successful collaborations, with past releases like the Grid Azura 2000 “Remember Who Fronted” and the Grid Shadow 2 “What’s The Occasion” receiving acclaim. The new Matrix collaboration is poised for similar success.
The Jae Tips x Saucony Matrix is expected to release in late 2024 or early 2025. It will be available at select retailers and on Saucony.com. Stay tuned for more updates and get ready for another exciting release from the Bronx savior!
